THE State Government announced it's $2 Billion transport plan without investigating other options, it has been claimed.  In last year's Budget, the Government said a system overhaul, in a $2 billion investment over 10 years, would include a tram extension to Port Adelaide and electrification of the rail network.

 

Answers to the parliamentary questions on notice, by Family First MLC Dennis Hood, suggest no studies were commissioned on proposals to provide more rail coverage to the northern, eastern and southern suburbs or the Barossa."
